IRC Intervention Check

How to get the form

To request a Child Intervention Record Check application form, you must email your regional office (emails listed below) and ask for the form to be sent to you.

  • Once you have completed the form, email it to your regional Children’s Services office.

  • By filling in and providing your consent on the form, you declare you are applying to work directly with children for the named organization.

First Aid CPR (Online Course)

This is an online First Aid Course. The cost is $40, which will come off your paycheck if you are an active staff with biweekly pay. If you are a full-time staff and you complete your training before your last one expires, FCI will pay for half of your course.

Fire Extinguisher Training

Below is a link to a video on Fire extinguisher training. It's approximately five minutes long.
All staff watch this video and complete the knowledge assessment. 85% or higher is required.

All new staff will need to complete this before coming on the floor.

THIS IS NOT AN OPEN BOOK (VIDEO) KNOWLEDGE ASSESSMENT. 

They can watch the video as many times as they want before they do the knowledge assessment, but they cannot complete the assessment while watching it. I recommend they watch it at least twice.

Worker Health and Safety Awareness Training

Worker Health and Safety Awareness - ACCESS TRAINING HERE

The Occupational health and safety awareness training provides a basic understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and does not replace any sector-specific, hazard-specific, or competency-specific training.

This training introduces workers to the Occupational Health and Safety Act. It focuses on the health and safety rights and responsibilities of workers, supervisors, and employers and serves as a general introduction to workplace health and safety.

Workers can use this free training program to meet the minimum training required by the Occupational Health and Safety Awareness and Training regulation.
